Biography

Steven graduated from the KvB College of Visual Communication and worked for several years in television as a freelance camera operator before taking a side-track into the military. After leaving the Army, Steven fell into a career managing e-commerce logistics while writing several screenplays.

Meanwhile, Steve helped other writers with editing and feedback while working on multiple media projects as a camera operator, director of photography, 1st assistant director, and even just helping with the lights.

Having always loved nature and the outdoors, Steve is an avid hiker and has explored a variety of remote and popular regions around the world, trekking through snow, over sand, and across mountains.

In 2016 Steve volunteered to help film a project about the exploitation of porters in the Nepalese tourism industry, igniting a passion to create meaningful documentaries.

Steve volunteered with the Australian Himalayan Foundation as a photographer and videographer, visiting Nepal to cover project assessments and representing the AHF at several international events.

In 2022, Steve decided to merge his various interests and skills together and is currently studying journalism at the University of NSW, where he won a national student journalism award in his second year.

Steve is currently working on several documentary projects, such as a racing team fighting against the odds to compete, the struggles of the Kalbeliya people in Rajasthan, and a mountaineer climbing Everest with Multiple Sclerosis.
